Shajjan Paralegal Services (“we”, “us”) is a licensed paralegal firm located at 4711 Yonge St, North York, Ontario, M2N 6K8. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit our website, shajjanlegal.ca, how it is used, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Information you provide to us

Our website does not use contact forms and does not ask you to create an account. The only personal information you provide through this website is what you choose to share when you call or email us — for example, your name, contact details, and the reason for your inquiry. We use that information solely to respond to you and, if you retain us, to provide our services.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the website, the following is collected automatically:

Site analytics. We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand aggregate visitor activity and site performance (such as pages viewed, country, browser type, and load times). These tools do not use cross-site tracking cookies.
Advertising measurement. We advertise on Google, and use Google Tag Manager and Google Ads conversion tracking to measure whether our ads lead to phone calls. This involves cookies and ad-click identifiers set by Google when you arrive from one of our ads.
Call measurement. If you arrive from one of our Google ads, the phone number displayed may be a Google forwarding number that connects you to our regular line. When you call it, Google reports to us details such as the call time, its duration, and the caller’s area code. Calls are not recorded, and the content of your call is never shared with Google.
Technical logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) processes standard technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the website securely.

How we use this information

To respond to your calls and emails;
To measure whether our advertising is working and manage our advertising budget;
To keep the website fast, secure, and reliable.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties except the service providers described below.

Service providers

We use Google (Google Ads, Google Tag Manager) for advertising measurement and Vercel for website hosting and analytics. These providers may process data on servers outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions. Client confidentiality

Information you share with us in the course of seeking or receiving paralegal services is protected by the confidentiality obligations that apply to us as a licensee of the Law Society of Ontario. Those professional obligations are separate from, and stricter than, this website policy.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies using your browser settings;
You can control how Google personalizes and measures ads at adssettings.google.com;
You can contact us by email instead of phone if you prefer not to use call measurement.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA, you may request access to the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Contact us using the details below and we will respond promptly. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Retention and security

The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above or as required by our professional record-keeping obligations, and then delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date.
